5 people hospitalized after fire at an apartment complex in Denver
Five people rescued from a burning apartment building in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood were sent to the hospital Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to reports of smoke coming from an apartment building near East 22nd Avenue and North Clarkson Street, the Denver Fire Department said in a statement. 8am statement on social media.
Denver firefighters used ladder trucks to rescue people from the upper floors of the building and quickly extinguished the fire, fire officials said.
Paramedics transported five people to hospitals after the fire, but their conditions are unknown, fire officials said an update from 8:24 am.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
