Nothing has launched the Phone (2a) Special Edition, the first limited edition smartphone, and you may have to order one soon to secure yours.
As teased on social media yesterday, the Phone (2a) Special Edition arrives as the first Nothing device to feature all three primary colors in the design. It’s essentially the white color scheme with accents of yellow, blue and red. It’s called ‘Bauhaus’.
These accents can be found on the back of the device, such as around the camera module.
The Special Edition is the same as the regular Phone (2a) from both a hardware and software perspective – including “industry-first ChatGPT integration combined with a Nothing or CMF by Nothing audio product”, but will undoubtedly be popular with fans.
Units aren’t individually numbered or anything, but since this colorway is available in a “limited quantity” and since the regular (2a) is selling no less than 100,000 units within hours, it could sell out quickly.
The Nothing Phone (2a) Special Edition goes on sale today from the official store and you can also get it in person from June 1 at 11am when you head to the Nothing Store in Soho, London.
The other caveat is that the device costs £349/€379 as it is only available in the 12/256GB model for RAM and storage, while the regular phone (2a) starts at £319/€329 for 8/128 GB.
“The overall aesthetic nods to some of our design heroes of the past, while creating a new expression for a smartphone. Elevating a functional device into a striking work of art.” says Adam Bates, Design Director at Nothing.
