If you’re not familiar with Cala, she’s the cat behind the catchy song “I Go Meow”… basically a snippet of Cala meowing, sounding like she’s belting out a few lines that social media musicians have made songs around.
The Kiffness – a music group known for playing along to popular clips on social media – made a viral song from the Cala video that swept the internet. While the song’s original lyrics focused on Cala having no sense of identity, they have been posthumously updated to have a more positive sentiment.
Other videos on social media show how talkative Cala was…he made little noises and sometimes sounded more monkey than cat.
Cala was 12.
