Angel Reese Fined by WNBA After Caitlin Clark Cheap Shot Game
Angel Reese has been fined by the WNBA after the Chicago Sky’s game against the Indiana Fever…but it’s not what most fans might think.
The league announced a fine for the rookie for failing to meet post-game media obligations… and gave her $1,000 for not making herself available to reporters. They also fined Sky $5,000.
Angel Reese got hyped when he saw Caitlin Clark take a cheap shot 😬

Of course, Angel clearly cheered a cheap shot fouls her teammate Chennedy Carter hit Clark with during Saturday’s game, and some might have thought the league would reprimand her for it… but so far that hasn’t been the case.
There have been tensions between Angel and Caitlin in recent months, despite AR once assuring the public that her feud with Clark only existed within the confines of the court. The loss to the Fever seemed to really upset Reese — who makes just under $74,000 a year, not including endorsements — and she blew the reporters away.
Just last month, Angel seemingly posted a dig at Caitlin online, she wrote that her team pulled off an impressive win because of their team’s cohesion rather than “one player on our charter flight.”
Reese later deleted the tweet, but not before it went viral. Combined with the cheesy cheer, this beef seems to be a little more personal than Reese wants to admit.
BTW…good news for outraged Fever fans. The league upgraded the nasty hit on Clark from a simple foul to a flagrant-1 foul on Chennedy Carter. The league has not fined or suspended Carter.
Chicago marches into Indiana to play the Fever on June 16…and get the popcorn ready, because we have a feeling sparks are going to fly.
