Actress Alexandra Daddario opened up about her pregnancy after a “very, very painful loss.”
The white Lotus The 38-year-old star expressed her joy over her exciting news of a healthy pregnancy, but revealed the process has been a “long and complicated” road.

In an interview with Fashion‘S Elise Taylorthe Baywatch actress spoke candidly about the highs and lows of her pregnancy journey.
“Now that I’m pregnant and it’s all successful and everything is healthy, I feel like I can’t complain,” Daddario said.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t always the case for the actress.

Daddario did not elaborate on the “loss” she experienced, but revealed that she had been pregnant in the past.

“Well, I had been pregnant,” Daddario told Taylor, who saw the actress’ smile disappear from her face as she walked away. “I was at a loss.”
“It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific,” the 38-year-old explained, without naming exactly what the “loss” was. “These types of losses and traumas are very difficult to explain unless you’ve experienced them. I really relate to all the women who have experienced these types of things in a way that I didn’t fully understand before.”

The actress said it was “pretty hard to process” finding out she was pregnant again.

Daddario added, “It’s very, very painful.”
When she found out she was pregnant again, the… San Andreas star revealed she was experiencing mixed emotions.
“It was actually quite difficult to process,” she admitted. “You have a lot of complicated feelings.”

Daddario noted that a busy work schedule contributed to the “complicated feelings” she was processing regarding her pregnancy.
“I was so overwhelmed with work. Part of me thought, this is the worst thing ever. Then part of me thought, This is actually a major distraction,” she explained. “Because I’m not sitting in my house all day thinking, ‘If I pick up this pot to make pasta, will something bad happen? If I eat this pasta, will something bad happen?’“

Despite her initial “complicated feelings,” Daddario said she’s “finally” embracing her bump.

Daddario also didn’t shy away from talking about her concerns about her pregnancy. The actress spoke candidly about frantic internet searches on mom message boards and whether workouts like Solidcore would negatively impact her body.
“I’m thinking, should I do Solidcore at 14 weeks? Contact Reddit about this,” Daddario said.
Despite her past heartbreak and complicated feelings, the HBO star said she is “finally” embracing her bump and is in a place where she can “flaunt it.”
