‘Mirzapur’ Season 3 Shatters Records, Sets Season 4

Prime Video India’s crime drama Mirzapur has set a new benchmark with its third season, becoming the platform’s most-watched show in India during its launch weekend.

The series has also received significant international attention, trending on the platform’s Top 10 list in more than 85 countries, including the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

The show, produced by Excel Media and Entertainment, started streaming from July 5 and was watched in 98% of Indian postal codes in its opening weekend, Prime Video said.

In response to the show’s performance, Prime Video and Excel Media and Entertainment have begun development of a fourth season. While details about the upcoming installment are not yet known, fans can expect the series to continue its exploration of the power dynamics and criminal underworld in the heart of northern India.

The ensemble cast of season 3 includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma and Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik and Manu Rishi Chadha. The ten-episode season, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, is currently streaming on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide.
