Country singer Cody Johnson speaks about the Trump shooting and encourages people to vote

Cody Johnsonhas a message for his fans in the wake of the assassination attempt on the former president Donald TrumpIn life… solve your problems with a ballot, not a bullet.

The country singer took the stage at Windy City Smokeout in Chicago on Saturday … just minutes after Trump shot on stage during his meeting in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Video circulating on social media shows Johnson giving his impassioned speech… saying he finds it despicable that any American would believe that trying to assassinate a political candidate would solve everything.

Cody says the only way to bring about real change in this country is to go to the voting booth instead of picking up a gun and shooting the other side.

CJ goes on to say he is tired of the hate and division, Trump v Bidenall…pointing to members of his audience supporting Trump, others supporting Biden – and that’s fine, because every American has that right.

He adds that he doesn’t care what people’s individual voting preferences are…tonight he’s just supporting the old red, white and blue – a sentiment the crowd loves.

The attempted assassination of the former president has inflamed many and at the same time led to a moment of peace between the dueling political parties… with many Democrats from President Biden to former president Barack Obama and Congressman Nancy Pelosi Wishing Trump the best of luck.
