Jenni 'JWoww' Farley's horror film 'Devon' acquired by Cineverse

Cineverse has acquired reality star Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s directorial debut “Devon,” which will premiere exclusively on the company’s streaming service Screambox.

The horror film follows a group of friends who try to uncover the truth about an unsolved disappearance, but end up at the center of a terrifying mystery. According to the official logline: “After their daughter’s mysterious disappearance, Devon’s parents never stopped searching for the truth. After the shelter from which she disappeared was condemned, their questions seemed to remain unanswered forever. Years later, a cryptic website recruits five brave individuals to explore the abandoned shelter and discover what happened to the girl. Unaware that they are embarking on a dangerous one-way journey, these individuals dive into the sinister depths with only their equipment, leading to a terrifying and deadly experience.”

“I’m excited to dive into the world of horror with Cineverse and Screambox, who have the industry and fandom knowledge to see ‘Devon’ get into the hands of the right audiences.” Farley said in a statement. “As a seasoned reality TV veteran, I am excited to start this new chapter in the horror movie genre and hope that ‘Devon’ is just the beginning.”

Farley is best known for her appearance on the MTV series “Jersey Shore” and its spin-off “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.” The next season of “Family Vacation” will premiere later this year.

North American rights for “Devon” were negotiated by Brandon Hill, executive director of acquisitions, and Farley.

“Devon” debuts on Screambox on November 12.
