BoI greenlights P202.97 billion investments in July
The Board of Investments (BoI) approved €202.97 billion worth of investments in July, an increase of 24038% compared to the €840.9 million investments approved in the same month last year.
In a statement on Friday, the BoI said 30 projects were given the green light last month, which are expected to create 8,931 direct jobs.
Last month’s approval brought approval for the first seven months to P1.15 trillion, up 65% from P699 billion in the same period a year ago.
“Our goal is clear: to reach and even exceed the €1.6 trillion mark in approved investments this year,” said Ceferino S. Rodolfo, Undersecretary of Commerce and Director of the BoI.
“With the momentum we have built, we are confident of reaching and exceeding this goal, driving economic development,” he added. – Justine Irish DP Table
