Season 4 of Ted Lasso won’t happen until Jason Sudeikis makes a decision

AppleTV+The ball is all the way in Jason Sudeikis‘ judge when it comes to the future of Ted Lasso.
Creator Bill Lawrencewho worked with Sudeikis to bring the series to life on Apple TV+, was asked about plans for a fourth season. He said that the future of the series lies entirely with the lead actor.
“Whatever Jason feels like and whatever his decision is, it affects us all,” Lawrence, 55, said. Collider.
After discussing how “groupthink” led fans to believe more episodes were in the works when nothing was officially announced, Lawrence pointed out that Sudeikis, 48, had many factors to consider before returning to Ted Lasso.

Sudeikis has insisted that the season 3 finale – which aired in May 2023 – was meant to be a conclusion.
“This story is done,” he explained on the “Fly on the Wall” podcast in May 2023. “It sounds like a political answer, but it is the truth. We only came up with these three [seasons]then this thing became a big old thing.
Sudeikis said that the Ted Lasso team has been “thinking about” potential spin-offs after seeing demand for more.
‘Whether it is [a book]whether it’s creating podcasts about the episodes to offering audio commentary…just talking through things and themes,” he shared. “And it would also explain the show in a much more cerebral way than I could have ever explained to anyone.
