How to watch ITVX from abroad
ITVX is the streaming hub of everything broadcast on ITV channels – it was formally known as the ITV Hub. This service allows you to watch content from the likes of ITV1, ITV2 and ITVBe live or on-demand.
That makes it the ideal place to watch films such as FA Community Shield, Love Island and Mr Bates vs The Post Office. It’s also home to gripping detective dramas and family favorites. But there’s one big drawback: it’s only available in Britain, meaning you won’t be able to watch anything on ITVX if you live outside Britain, or even if you’re just on holiday somewhere else.
Luckily, there’s a way around this and it’s possible to watch ITVX from abroad with ease, whether that’s on your PC, Mac, TV, iPhone or Android device.
Watch ITVX abroad with a VPN
If you want to watch ITVX outside the UK, your best bet is to get a VPN.
VPN stands for ‘virtual private network’ and lets you surf the internet as if you were in another country. Essentially this means that even if you are outside Britain, the ITVX website or app will think you are in Britain if you use one.

Once you have subscribed and installed your VPN of choice on the device you want to use to access ITVX, you will need to do the following:

Find a server

Open your VPN on your phone, laptop or other device and choose a server in the UK.
Launch ITVX

On the same device, visit the ITVX website or app. You will be treated as if you were in Great Britain.
If for some reason it doesn’t work, try switching to a different UK server on your VPN. Streaming platforms like ITVX try to block known VPN IP addresses, so you may have to try a few different servers before you find one that works.
It’s also worth noting that if you have an ad blocker enabled, ITVX may block it – and since some VPNs have built-in ad blocking, you may need to disable that part of the software.

If you haven’t already, make sure you sign up for an ITVX account to watch. You must enter a valid email address, your date of birth and a UK postcode. Then you should be able to log in normally.
