CBS will broadcast Serie A on television for the first time during the AC Milan match in Parma on August 24

AC Milan’s second match of the season in Parma, scheduled for Saturday, August 24, will be broadcast on CBS, marking the first time CBS has televised Serie A.

The CBS broadcast of Parma’s match against Milan will take place live from Parma’s Stadio Ennio Tardini, with a pre-game show starting at 11:30 a.m. ET and broadcast live on Biggest+. Coverage shifts to CBS at 12:30 PM ET, when the game is scheduled to start.

The broadcast marks the high-profile return of Serie A to American audiences, after the Italian top player signed a new multi-platform deal with CBS Sports earlier this summer. The agreement provides the widest distribution of Serie A matches ever in the US, including select matches on CBS. In total, more than 400 matches from Italy will be available in the US via Biggest+, CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network and CBS.

Serie A kicks off this weekend as some of the world’s biggest cup competitions battle it out for the Scudetto, and you can follow the action all season long on Biggest+CBS Sports Golazo Network and CBS Sports Network.

Parma’s matchup with Milan is an intriguing selection for American audiences, as the visiting team includes U.S. Men’s National Team members Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah. Pulisic enjoyed a career-best club season at Milan last season, his first in Italy, with sixteen goals and ten assists. He is likely to play a big role for the team again in the 2024/25 season as the team will look to improve on last season’s second-place finish. Pulisic, along with fellow prolific forward Rafael Leao, will be one of the constants for Milan as new head coach Paulo Fonseca and new striker Alvaro Morata settle at the club.

The home team now has its own American connection. Parma is owned by Krause Group, owners of US-based supermarket Kum & Go after acquiring the club in 2020.

Milan’s trip to Parma will be part of a busy day of football on CBS. At the end of the Serie A match, CBS will air an NWSL doubleheader, with NJ/NY Gotham FC hosting the Portland Thorns before the San Diego Wave welcomes Angel City.

All 380 Serie A matches this season will be available on CBS Sports’ platforms, while the majority of Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana matches will also be broadcast on the platforms.

The 2024/25 Serie A season starts on Saturday, with Genoa welcoming reigning champions Inter. The opening game of the season is broadcast CBS Sports Network And Biggest+ at 12:30 PM ET.
