Several of Carrie Underwood’s friends worry that hosting American Idol will throw her life into chaos.

Perry, 39, quit the series after seven seasons. She said she needed to “feel that heartbeat of my own rhythm.”

According to an insider, the stress of judging the show will once again put pressure on Underwood’s marriage to hockey pro Mike Fisher.

Perry explained: “Well, you know, this fall, in September, I’m going to do this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio. It’s really exciting. It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially my Brazilian fans.

“So I think this will probably be my last season Idol.”
But sources also claimed that “things got really hard for Katy” before she left the boat American Idol – and they expressed concern about how Underwood will fare when filming for the show begins later this year.
