Taylor Swift 'contacts families of stabbing victims' ahead of UK return

Taylor Swift met two young survivors of the Southport, England massacre backstage following her emotional return to the stage following the horrific events that took place on July 29.

The Two weeks singer, 34, invited the two young girls backstage to pose for photos.

The meet and greet takes place just days after Swift returned to Britain following the tragic stabbing.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “Taylor has quietly and systematically contacted the families of the children trapped in the Southport horror, offering them kind words and backstage invitations to meet her.

“She feels terrible about this and it has shaken her to her core.”

As Swift took to the stage for her first show in Britain since the event, she appeared emotional in front of her 92,000 fans.

An insider said: “Taylor may not have spoken about Elsie Dot, Alice and Bebe on stage, but she reached out to their families.

“It’s something that weighs heavily on her mind.”

Bebe King, six, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, were murdered during a Swift-themed dance class. Ten others were injured during the attack.

A 17-year-old boy from Lancashire, just outside Southport, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder over the attacks. Due to his age, his name has not been released.

Following the attack, Swift took to her Instagram Stories to address the incident: “The loss of life and innocence, and the terrible trauma that was inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and the first responders.

“These were just little kids taking a dance class. I don’t know how to convey my condolences to these families.”
