Jimmy Fallon Burns Joe Biden Over ‘Odd Twist’ at Democratic Convention

“Last night the Democratic National Convention kicked off and Joe Biden was supposed to give the primetime address, but he didn’t take the stage until 11:30,” the “Tonight Show” host said Tuesday. “In a strange way, Biden woke up at midnight while the rest of the country was sleeping.”

He added, “Yes, the Democrats sang all night, ‘We love you, Joe!’ while Biden must have thought, ‘eh, apparently not as much as others.’”

“Yes, being at the convention after quitting the race had to be a bitter pill to swallow. Although at 81 years old it goes well with all the other pills,” he continued.

The comedian also went all out on Biden on Monday night, repeatedly slamming the president over his DNC appearance.

Biden delivered a keynote address late Monday evening, touting his record and passing the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris as his chosen successor after dropping out of the 2024 race last month. His decision followed a shocking debate in June that prompted calls from Democrats to resign.
