A Tennessee man wanted on suspected murder charges was captured Monday by U.S. marshals after crashing through the ceiling from the attic of a home where he was hiding, ending a months-long manhunt, authorities said.

Deario Wilkerson, 20, was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon after officers tracked him to the Memphis property, the U.S. Marshals Service said in a news release.

Wilkerson was not injured in the fall and was taken into custody without further incident, authorities said.
