The Fight Rages On' Renewed for Season 2 at Max

“City of God: The Fight Rages On” has been renewed for season 2.

The news comes just days after the series debuted on HBO Latino and Max on August 25. The six-episode first season will continue to release new episodes weekly on Sundays at 8 PM ET/PT. The second episode will air on September 1.

According to the official description, the series “follows the characters twenty years after the events of the famous film, through the lens of Wilson (Rocket), who returns to the community when the release of a young drug dealer from City of God prison comes to a halt. discussion. again. Alexandre Rodrigues reprized his role as Wilson from the original film ‘City of God’, which was itself based on the novel of the same name by Paulo Lins. Several other cast members from the film also returned for the series. The cast includes Thiago Martins, Roberta Rodrigues, Sabrina Rosa, Wayne LeGette, Marcos Palmeira, Andréia Horta and Kiko Marques.
