Bridgerton season 3 plot
The third season of the show is primarily based on Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the fourth novel in the series written by Julia Quinn. This time the story focuses on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.
As the description of season 3 reads:
Penelope has finally given up on her long-term crush on Colin after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. However, she has decided that it is time to get a husband, preferably one who will give her enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. But lacking trust, Penelope’s attempts at the marriage market fail spectacularly.
Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he is discouraged when he realizes that Penelope, the one person who has always appreciated him for who he was, is wringing his neck. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to guide Penelope in the ways of trust to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start to work a little too well, Colin is forced to wonder if his feelings for Penelope are really just amicable.
Complicating matters for Penelope is her breakup with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new girlfriend in a most unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the barrel makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.
