Missouri teenager Kaylee can walk again two months after brutal beatings
Kaylee wins is making progress in her recovery – she has been walking for less than two months after a brutal fight left her in a coma – but her parents say she still has a way to go.
Gain, whose head was repeatedly slammed into the ground by a fellow student in a now infamous video, is thankfully doing much better as of mid-April. She walks with little help and even speaks short sentences… according to her parents GoFundMe update.

Her family says Kaylee still wears a helmet because her bone flap — a part of the skull removed to gain access during brain surgery — is still not intact. They say it will be resolved in a future surgery.
If you remember… the video of the March 8 fight ended up online and shows about a dozen people throwing their hands on the sidewalk near Hazelwood High School in Missouri. Gain is thrown to the ground and then slammed into the pavement like a rag doll several times during the fight.
Paramedics rushed Kaylee to a local hospital in St. Louis…while police arrested the student who assaulted her on a first-degree felony charge. A hearing to determine whether she will be tried as an adult is reportedly scheduled for May 10.
Kaylee’s family started a GoFundMe for their daughter in the aftermath of the fight, with the goal of raising approximately $120,000. Since then, they’ve raised more than $400,000. Sounds like she’s recovering well.
