A large forest fire burns 2 hectares near Aurora Sports Park
A large brush fire burned five acres near Aurora Sports Park before firefighters brought it under control Thursday afternoon, according to Aurora Fire Rescue.
Fire and wildland crews were working to extinguish the bushfire near East Sports Park Drive and Tower Road as of 1:56 p.m. Aurora Fire Rescue officials said in a post on X.
The fire is under control and crews are searching for hot spots, the agency said.
