In a shocking twist in court, Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter case was dismissed on Friday.

Alec Baldwin burst into tears when a New Mexico judge dismissed his involuntary manslaughter case in a shocking twist on the third day of the trial following the death of Rust camera operator Halyna Hutchins, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Right Marlowe Summer ruled that prosecutors failed to share key evidence related to the film set ammunition with Baldwin’s defense team.

Despite “repeated” claims that they “complied with all of their discovery obligations,” Judge Sommer said prosecutors “failed to disclose critical evidence to the defendant.”

Baldwin hugged his wife Hilaria after the judge dismissed the case.

“The State’s violation of discovery has caused a needless, incurable delay in the immediate jury trial,” the judge added.

When she announced that the dismissal request had been granted, Baldwin lowered his head and sobbed into his hands before hugging his lawyers. He then stood up and hugged his wife Hilaria, who had been sitting behind him in the courtroom all week.

The filing stated that plaintiffs relied on the premise that “the live rounds were brought to the set by the film’s gun maker.” Hannah Gutierrez-Reedwho was convicted on his own accord involuntary manslaughter trial about Hutchins’ death in March.

But they said the state “concealed evidence that may have pointed to an outside source of the live ammunition.” Rust supplier of prop firearms Seth Kenney.

The stunning development came after Baldwin’s lawyers filed a motion to dismiss on Thursday, writing: ‘Baldwin was unaware of the risk that live ammunition had been brought to the police. Rust. To support its theory that Baldwin should have known of that risk, the state is attempting to establish a connection between Baldwin and the source of the live ammunition.

The judge said key evidence relating to the ammunition loaded into the propeller gun that killed Hutchins was being withheld from the defense team.

Kenney testified on the defense motion Friday along with other witnesses, and in an unusual move, the special prosecutor Kari Morrissey called himself to the stands. The judge read her decision after a heated argument between Morrissey and Baldwin’s attorney. Alex Spiro.

Baldwin had pleaded not guilty to the involuntary manslaughter charge, claiming he never actually pulled the trigger on the gun.
