Adobe finally decided to pull the trigger and put an end to the Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix apps on Android as well. The company had already done it on iOS in 2021, but for some reason it took a few more years on Google’s mobile operating system.

Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix are a couple of Adobe apps with fairly specific goals. “Mix” basically allows you to easily merge or combine more than two images. Meanwhile, “Fix” is an app that contains a range of options for quick adjustments to images. Both stopped receiving updates in 2021, the same year they were removed from the App Store. So you could say that on Android they were in a “zombie” state, functional but without any support.

Adobe Discontinues Photoshop “Mix” and “Fix” Android Apps; users receive email notifications

Now the company is notify users of the Photoshop Mix and Photoshop Fix apps on how to exit both. Those who have used the app in the past will receive the notification via email. Currently, none of the apps are available on the Google Play Store. You will only see them if you had them installed before they were removed. Although the apps will continue to work in the latter case, this is temporary, as they will no longer work from June 4, 2024, according to the email.

After the Photoshop Mix and Fix Android apps are gone, the company is encouraging users to switch to Photoshop Express (not Adobe Express, which is a different app) as an alternative. Available for both Android and iOS, it offers much more advanced editing and retouching capabilities than Photoshop Fix. However, the Android version does not integrate Photoshop Mix features. The people who used Mix a lot in their daily lives will therefore have to look for an alternative in another additional app.
