Assassin's Creed Shadows 13 minutes. walkthrough shows battles and more

Assassin’s Creed Shadows releases on November 15, but Ubisoft saw fit to give players an early taste of the game via an extensive 13-minute walkthrough. The video, which was shown during Ubisoft Forward, shows off quite a bit of gameplay, showing more about how the combat works. It also shows off some of the stealth mechanics and many breathtaking landscapes of the game environment.

For players eager to step into the role of Naoe and Yasuke, the extensive gameplay walkthrough is a must-watch. It’s also best avoided if you prefer to dive into the game completely blind. However, the walkthrough doesn’t seem to provide any major story beats. So if you’re just worried about spoilers for the larger parts of the story, it’s safe to watch. That said, there is a short cinematic section between Naoe and Yasuke. Luckily, Ubisoft has included timestamps and divided the video into sections so you can skip past the cinematic segment.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ comprehensive walkthrough reveals Naoe’s stealth mechanics

Naoe is one of the main characters in the upcoming game, so it only makes sense that Ubisoft would want to show off some of its combat mechanics to get players hyped. Nearly four minutes of gameplay footage is centered around Naoe’s Shinobi stealth, and it’s the bulk of the video. So you get a good idea of how she works, in addition to the types of skills and tools she has at her disposal.

However, the video starts with Yasuke exploring the Fukuchiyama region, followed by some of his battles. Where Naoe can use heavy stealth to take down enemies, Yasuke gets into the thick of the battle with weapons like his Katana, Naginata or other weapons that are well suited for direct combat. However, in the video you see him defeating enemies with a spiked club known as the Kanabō.

The open world is influenced by dynamic seasons and weather conditions

Judging by what Ubisoft has shown so far, the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is vast. Ubisoft discusses more of this world in a developer insight video released alongside the extensive gameplay walkthrough. In addition to many points of exploration that players will experience, there will be plenty of secrets and things to discover that will advance the progression of the game.

The open world will also be “influenced by dynamic seasons and weather conditions,” according to the game’s Art Director Thierry Dansereau. The bulk of this video is just Dansereau, along with game director Charles Benoit, laying out the extensive gameplay walkthrough. However, it’s also worth a watch if you want more insight into the gameplay that was shown. Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on November 15 for PC via Ubisoft Connect, and Ubisoft+ Premium members can play the game via that service.

The game will also be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Amazon Luna.
