The use of e-cigarettes and tobacco products in the Philippines is steadily increasing, especially among the youth, according to the 2019 Global Youth Tobacco Survey research. Consequently, flavors and valued novelties contribute to the initiation and continued use of e-cigarettes and tobacco use. With this concern, Dr. Maria Encarnita Blanco-Limpin of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians/Philippine Medical Association explains the risk factors of tobacco and e-cigarette use. Moreover, she explained ways to improve regulations and how users can stop using them.
