Although it comes in a few parts, the Pilot Max tower fan is easy to assemble. You basically just attach the base and plug it in.

It is a fan without blades, 110 cm high and a base diameter of 30 cm. It comes with a remote control (and battery) so you can turn it on and off and change settings from the comfort of your couch.

The height is a big advantage, as the air outlet takes up a significant part of this length (50 cm), allowing it to move a lot of air.

The fan oscillates and you can change the angle from 30-120°, in 30° increments. It has 12 speeds, which range from a completely quiet, light blast of air to an audible (but still far from noisy) explosion. It is impressively quiet in any environment. There is also a timer that you can set for a maximum of 12 hours.

It has four modes: normal, natural (changing air flow), sleep (it slows down every 30 minutes) and automatic, which adapts to the ambient temperature in the room.

The control panel is located on the curved top of the fan and there is a digital screen built in that shows the settings and fan speed.

Because it is slim and takes up little space, when not in use you can push it into a corner and forget about it – the best alternative to a combined heater/fan.

Dreo’s tower fan comes in two models: the smart version costs just $20 more and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, so you can turn it on and off with voice commands.
