‘Big Brother’ writer doubles down and fights back after CBS threatened to sue him over claims in new book
‘Big Brother’ author refuses to resign after CBS fires cease-and-desist letter.

CBS sent a defamation letter to Stuart-Verner about his book “The Big Brother Bible: 25 Years of America’s Summertime Guilty Pleasure.”
Stuart-Verner told us exclusively: “CBS’s lack of response, especially when asked to specify areas it disagrees with, speaks for itself.”
The author noted that he felt the feelings of the network termination letter was “intended solely to scare me into writing further about Big Brother”, although he plans to continue his work calling out the show.
Stuart-Verner further described the network’s request for permission before speaking to participants and staff as “ridiculous.”

The author said: “I’ve been a longtime fan and viewer, and I want to see the show succeed. The defense of the network and the series’ executive producers indicates an unwillingness to listen — and perhaps this is why the The show’s ratings are so high today.”
“I’m gay myself, and I spent much of my early life silent, afraid to speak my truth, so these bullying tactics from CBS don’t work on me. They’re a few decades too late with that.”

Stuart-Verner called the network’s request to speak to participants and crew “ridiculous.”

The Big Brother expert added: “At this point, in my opinion, the current production team needs to be replaced. Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan have been with the show since 2001. I understand it’s a rewarding endeavor for both of them, but it’s clearly old hat for many viewers know that the duo is out of fresh ideas.”
Stuart-Verner noted that the duo have “done great work for a number of years, but it’s time to move on, to work on something different, to give a new team the opportunity to take John de Mol’s iconic format to the next level.” level.”

CBS called the author’s claims about the show “unsubstantiated” and “inaccurate.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, CBS sent a cease-and-desist letter to Stuart-Verner on June 21 over what they called “inaccurate statements” and “unsubstantiated claims” in his tell-all book.
The network also strongly denied the accusation that they deliberately labeled “racists” on the show as “false” and “untruthful.”
