‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Trailer Teases Colin and Penelope Sex

Get your corsets ready, Bridgerton season 3 returns to Netflix for season 3. The trailer for the new season dropped Thursday, and Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton are leading the way as their characters’ friendship slowly blossoms into full-on passion.

Season 3 of ‘Bridgerton’ contains a total of eight episodes split into two parts. The first four episodes will premiere on May 16, with the next four debuting on June 13.

“Bridgerton” is based on the best-selling romance book series by Julia Quinn. Season one featured the love story between Daphne and her husband, Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Season 2 followed an enemies-to-lovers theme and followed the romance between Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

The new episodes of the Shondaland series will shift the focus to Colin and Penelope. The one from Netflix The official season 3 synopsis reads: “Penelope enters season 3 finally ready to give up her long-term crush on Colin. However, that doesn’t mean she’s done with love. Instead, Penelope has decided it’s time to get a husband – and preferably one who will give her the freedom to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from the prying eyes of her mother and sisters.

Variety previously reported that Daniel Francis (“Stay Close”), Sam Phillips (“The Crown”) and James Phoon (“Wreck”) are joining Bridgerton for its final season.

Jess Brownell is also the showrunner this season following the firing of Chris Van Dusen. Shondaland executive producers Brownell, Van Dusen, Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Tom Verica. Watch the new trailer below.
