The criticism of Caitlin Clark by her WNBA colleagues continued Monday night … when a Sun player was so angry about the way the rookie seemed to embellish a bad call ā she even mocked her on the court.
The moment occurred during the Fever’s game against Connecticut at Mohegan Sun Arena… when in the second quarter of the tilt, Di Jonai Carrington bumped a moving Clark and was whistled for a foul.

Carrington clearly believed the Indiana guard had flopped to get the call… so she taunted her. She threw her head and neck back to imitate the exaggerated movements Clark made during the play – which seemed to please the former Iowa superstar.
Caitlin was still able to knock down her ensuing free throws… but Carrington got the last laugh of the night against the rookie, to say the least.

Connecticut limited Clark to just 10 points, all of which came in the first half. Clark was benched later in the second half as the Fever came up big on the scoreboard. In the end, the Sun came out on top, 89-72.
Clark and the Fever are now just 3-10 on the season.
The loss is just the latest low for Clark… who wasn’t just hit by a cheap foul Chennedy Carter earlier this month, but she was also left off the Team USA Olympics roster.
After the L, however, she remained optimistic… telling reporters that she and her team have “two very winnable games” later this week.
