After Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, he endorsed the vice president Kamala Harris to run as a candidate for the Democratic party. Celebrities have since expressed their love and support for Harris, among others Aaron Sorkin.

The West wing The creator chose to support Harris after Biden’s decision to step aside.

He wrote on X: “I take it all back. Harris for America!” The message was a reference to his essay in The New York Times in which he proposed Mitt Romney to become a candidate for the Democratic Party.

While Barack Obama initially did not side with Biden over his support for the vice president, the former US president officially endorsed Harris in an emotional phone call on July 26.

In her endorsement statement to The New York Times says Barbra Streisand expressed her enthusiasm to support Harris as she “commits to restoring women’s reproductive freedom and continuing the achievements begun during the Biden-Harris administration.”
