Chet Hanks hits back at people who use his ‘White Boy Summer’ slogan to promote hate and bigotry… saying they’ve distorted his good intentions.
Tom Hanks And Rita Wilson‘s son responded Wednesday to a New York Times piece highlighting the slogan’s growing popularity among white supremacists.
As Chet put it, he doesn’t lead the way in any way his sentence has been co-opted by hate groups.
He adds that “White Boy Summer” is a light-hearted saying – and also a song – that he described as “a celebration of white boys who love beautiful queens of every race.”
Chet repeats that when the phrase gets “twisted.” [something] Supporting any form of hatred or bigotry against any group of people is deplorable and I condemn it.”
It didn’t take long for his fans to respond to his post… as they applauded him for speaking out and for making it clear where he stood on the issue.
Still, this isn’t the first time Chet has had to discuss his viral meme…previously he explained on “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan” that the slogan – a play Megan Thee Stallion‘Hot Girl Summer’ – was intended to promote interracial relationships.

Chet, who has been accused of cultural appropriation for frequently speaking with a Caribbean patois, was also confronted by a comedian Ziwe Fumudoh on her Showtime show when she asked if he would apologize.
He refused at the time because he believed he had done nothing offensive.

ROUGH TALKING
Chet has never been afraid to speak his mind. This week, for example, he even revealed cokeheads told him he needed to “chill out” during his addiction struggles.
