Conor McGregor opens the scrapped UFC 303 press conference that was scheduled for Monday … and while he didn’t explain exactly why it was canceled, he did say it was due to a number of issues.
Notorious and Michael Chandler were going to spout some nonsense in Dublin to promote the June 29 event… but just hours before everything was due to take place, the organizers confirmed that this was not allowed until further notice – without providing any further information.
Now Conor is shedding some light on the situation… saying, “In consultation with the UFC, today’s press conference was canceled due to a series of obstacles beyond our control.”
Conor expressed his regret over all of this… adding: “I apologize to my Irish fans and fans around the world for the inconvenience and appreciate all your passion and support.”
Dear UFC fans–
The #UFC303 The press conference scheduled for Monday, June 3 in Dublin, Ireland at the 3Arena has been postponed until further notice. Our sincere apologies to all fans who planned to attend. As soon as we have more information about a new date and time we will… pic.twitter.com/nIXRIZl5pv

“I can’t wait to perform the greatest show of all time in the Octagon.”
A sellout crowd was expected to head to Ireland’s 3Arena for the big in-person press conference… but their schedules for today are now pretty clear.
There’s no update on the status of the actual fight between McGregor and Chandler… so it sounds like it’s still happening – but the fact that Conor didn’t include a date in his statement may raise some eyebrows.
