The alleged villain from Netflix’s ‘Dancing for the Devil’ was the subject of two previous criminal investigations, but neither resulted in charges… TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us that two sexual battery cases have been filed Robert Shinn and reported to the LAPD in August 2023 – which matches what was in the document…with some of his accusers coming forward and noting that they had gone to the police.
We’re told one of the cases was filed by former 7M member Kylie Douglas, whose story was included in the document. Our sources say the LAPD conducted an investigation and the case ultimately ended up in the LA City Attorney’s Office.
Another case was filed and filed with the LA City Attorney’s Office last August – but we’re told they ultimately dismissed the two cases in April of this year – citing insufficient evidence and a significant delay in reporting as reasons not to file a case. possible costs.
Shinn has been thrust into the spotlight with the recent release of the documentary … which characterized his organization as the “7M TikTok Cult” and raised concerns about the dancer Miranda Derick‘s involvement with Shinn and his company. He called BS about these allegations.
Derrick himself pushed back to claims that she was brainwashed or controlled by Shinn…call it BS and suggest she’s fine.

The document details how Shinn’s management company oversees several well-known TikTok dancers — and includes allegations from ex-dancers who say Shinn took a significant portion of their income and isolated them from their family and friends.
As we said… Shinn has categorically denied all of the claims in the document – and even filed a defamation lawsuit against the series’ plaintiffs.
As for law enforcement, they didn’t find any evidence there either.
