Disney’s Elton John’s ‘Hurt’ Ignores Him From ‘Lion King’ Prequel

Music master Elton John77, reportedly sings a sour note after being rejected Disney and cut the upcoming prequel The lionking, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Despite delivering classic hits for the 1994 animated film, The Rocket man was not included in the upcoming prequel, Mufasa: The Lion King.

“After providing the studio with timeless classics like Can you feel the love tonight? And Circle of life“Elton is blindsided by this blatant criticism,” an insider told the newspaper National researcher.
“It’s a bitter pill to swallow to see his legacy ignored in such a way. He feels hurt and disillusioned by Disney’s actions!”

The upcoming musical adaptation – expected to hit theaters in December 2024 – will be directed by Barry Jenkins. The film features photorealistic animations of the beloved children’s film characters.
While John was omitted from the prequel, music by a Grammy-winning composer Hans Zimmerlike Pharrell Williams, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Nicholas Brittell And Mark Mancina is expected to come into focus.

Details about why John was not included in the prequel adaptation remain unclear at this time. What makes the studio’s shocking decision mysterious is that John seemed to be in good standing at Disney in 2023.
In November, the singer-composer brought Disney+ his first-ever livestream performance, Elton John Live: Farewell to Dodger Stadium. John also served as executive producer for the production.

John reportedly feels “hurt” and “disillusioned” by the studio’s decision to leave him out of the upcoming prequel.

Streamed worldwide, the lavish production earned three nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards – taking home hardware in all three categories, including Outstanding Variety Special (Live), Sound Mixing for a Variety Series of Special and Technical Direction , Camerawork and Video Control for a special.
John’s work from 1994 The lionking also resulted in three Academy Awards nominations for Hakuna Matata, Circle of life And Can you feel the love tonight?the latter resulting in a victory.

Despite John’s recent efforts to bring the streaming platform several accolades, which helped take the service to the next level at a time when the streaming market is saturated with options, the studio strangely opted not to bring him on board for Mufasa.
A possible explanation could be John’s producer husband, David Furniswhere I want the singer to turn and supporting his film production career now the farewell of the singer tour has ended.

As RadarOnline.com reported, insiders claimed that John’s “ego-driven needs” have become too much for Furnish to handle after supporting his husband of three decades.
“David had enough of Elton’s diva behavior and is demanding he put a sock in it,” an insider claimed. “Elton might be able to get away with nonsense when he’s on tour, surrounded by a legion of roadies and gofers, but he’ll now have to adapt to a different lifestyle.”
The source noted that Furnish “wants to throw himself into his film production career – and he demands Elton’s support.”
