Donald Trump says abortion rollback has created 'very beautiful harmony'

Donald Trump claimed that his efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade and roll back abortion rights did just that made “very, very beautiful harmony,” RadarOnline.com has learned.

The former president spoke during a press conference with the Republican speaker of the House of Representatives about his views on abortion, which has become a major election issue. Mike Johnson on Friday.

“Mr. President, when you were in office, you said you would sign a federal abortion ban if Congress sent it to your desk. Why should Americans trust your word that you wouldn’t do it now if you were re-elected?’ a reporter asked.

“Because we no longer need it,” Trump responded. ‘Because we went bankrupt Roe v. Wade and we did something no one thought was possible. We returned it to the states.”

“And the states are working very brilliantly, in some cases conservatively and in some cases not conservatively, but they are working, and it is working as it should,” he added. “Every legal scholar, real legal scholar, wanted it to go back to the United States. Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, and we are able to do that.”

This week, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that a controversial 1864 law that imposed a near-total ban on abortion could be reinstated.

“You know, what we did was give it back to the states, and now the states are working their way through it, and to be honest, you have a very, very nice harmony,” Trump said.

“You have, well, you have some cases like Arizona that go back to 1864 or something like that, and a judge has made a ruling, but that’s going to be changed by the government. They’re going to change that. I don’t agree with that Agreed. That.”

Trump and many other Republicans have softened their stance on federal abortion restrictions, fearing that a tough stance may have cost them dearly in the 2022 midterm elections.

However, some members of the party, including the senator Lindsey Grahamhave criticized Trump for refusing to support a federal abortion ban.

“Many good Republicans have lost elections over this issue, and people like Lindsey Graham, who are unrelenting, are giving Democrats their dream of the House of Representatives, the Senate and maybe even the presidency,” Trump said. wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris has continued to press the issue. Speaking in Arizona after Trump’s comments, she blamed the ex-president for the state’s recent ruling.

“A few minutes ago, standing next to Speaker Johnson, Donald Trump just said that state collections are ‘working the way they’re supposed to work,’” she said. “And no matter how much damage he has already done, a second Trump term would be even worse.”
