Ex-Trump voters turn against him in scathing new attack ads

A Republican group opposed to Donald Trump is launching a new ad campaign in key states highlighting some of the former president’s voters who have since turned against him.

“He’s a criminal,” says a woman identified only as Beth, who says she voted for Trump twice, in one of the spots by Republican voters against Trump.

Trump, she said, is not seeking democracy but to keep himself out of jail, declaring that she will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris:

The organization said it is spending $3.5 million to have the five 30-second videos appear on streaming platforms in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin — three states that could ultimately determine the outcome of the election.

The group is also putting up 69 billboards in those same states featuring former Trump voters that read, “I WILL NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP.”

Sarah Longwell, director of Republican Voters Against Trump, said in a press release that Trump expected to win the election.

“But now he is feeling pressure from voters who are really concerned about his age, his criminality and his anti-democratic behavior,” she said. “Even for those who supported him in the past, these liabilities are real – and they are alarming. We remind voters that there is a better choice, and that we cannot gamble with American democracy by sending Trump back to the White House.”

The organization is applying for jobs video testimonials from former Trump voters who want to tell the world why they won’t support Trump.
