Rapper Fatman Scoop has died at the age of 53.

RadarOnline.com can confirm that the rapper has died after collapsing on stage during a concert in Connecticut.

DJ Ice Cold confirmed the news via Instagram: “I’m honestly lost for words… You took me all over the world and let me perform with you on some of the biggest and best stages on this planet, the things you taught me really made me the man who I am now.”

In an image of the rapper, the DJ added: “You taught me how to be the man I am today. I love you Scoop. Thank you so much for everything you have given me.”

The rapper’s cause of death is currently unclear. Radaronline.com has reached out to the Scoop team for more details.

The 53-year-old rapper was pronounced dead hours after collapsing during a concert in Connecticut.

Disturbing images began circulating of the moment the rapper collapsed on stage on Friday, August 30.

The shirtless rapper received chest compressions behind the DJ booth as an eerie silence fell over the crowd.

Hamden, Conn., Mayor Lauren Garrett confirmed the news at the time, posting via Facebook: “Tonight, during a performance at Hamden Town Center Park, Isaac Freeman, aka Fatman Scoop, suffered a medical emergency on stage.”

She added: “We will provide updates as they become available. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”

Authorities were dispatched to the scene around 8:33 p.m. Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, was seen being wheeled into an ambulance on a stretcher before the vehicle took off.

The Be faithful The rapper’s current medical condition is unknown.

In the video, posted to X on August 30, the rapper appeared out of breath as he tried to cheer up the crowd at Town Center Park in Hamden.

Scoop spoke into the microphone and shouted, “Let’s make some noise!”

Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, was seen performing CPR in Hamden, Conn. on Friday, August 30.

The shirtless rapper – who has worked with the likes of Missy Elliot and Mariah Carey – made his way to the back of the stage and walked up a few steps to stand behind the DJ booth.

“If you came to party,” Scoop shouted into the microphone before taking a deep breath and adding, “Make some noise.”

The Raise your hands rapper immediately dropped the microphone and collapsed as audience members gasped.

Another man on stage tried to calm the crowd as emergency medical responders rushed to Scoop to administer chest compressions.

The man told the concertgoers, “There’s nothing going on – on stage. I just want to say this – Hamden, where you all are, make some noise for me, you heavy baby.”

“It is what it is. We come here to party,” the man said as another person on stage cut off the music.

Concertgoers could be heard shouting words of concern about the rapper’s well-being after the event.

Following the tragedy, fans expressed their concerns for the rapper via social media, with one participant writing alongside their video: “I REALLY hope he comes out of this okay. Prayers for Fatman Scoop. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”

Other people criticized Scoop’s entourage for trying to keep the show going, with one user writing: “No man, they needed to stop that joint and call paramedics ASAP. Damn Scoop.”
