Gilgo Killer Rex Heuermann kept stomach-churning notes on murders

One of the most chilling aspects of the planning document was Heuermann’s direction to keep killing, with references to “next time,” revealing his past experiences and the changes he envisioned regarding upcoming crimes.

The file contains meticulously detailed preparatory measures and disturbing notes on “body preparation” and the selection of victims.

According to a bail application filed Thursday by prosecutors, Heuermann maintained a secret digital record titled “HK2002-2004” on his computer since at least 2000, keeping meticulous notes on the murders.

The digital document was divided into specific sections, such as “Issues,” “Supplies,” “TGR,” which prosecutors said would be potential targets, and “DS,” allegedly for “dumping sites.”
