Gwen Walz uses ‘teacher voice’ to JD Vance school

Gwen Walz, wife of Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, slammed Republican running mate JD Vance a rally Friday in Manassas, Virginia.

And to make sure the audience knew she meant it, she did it with her “teacher glasses” on.

The moment occurred as Walz, the governor of Minnesota and Kamala Harris’ running mate, spoke about a recently surfaced comment from Vance in which he criticized Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers Union, for trying to “brainwash” children without “a single child” of her own (she is a stepmother of two).

Given that the Walzes struggled with fertility issues before having two children, who are now in their late teens, she didn’t take kindly to the Ohio senator’s hint that people who haven’t had children shouldn’t be teachers.

“JD Vance said he was ‘really disturbed’ by teachers who don’t have biological children,” Gwen Walz said before sharing her own personal story.

“For a long time, Tim and I were teachers who struggled with infertility. Only thanks to fertility treatments were we able to start a family. “We don’t take kindly to people like JD Vance telling us when and how to start our family,” she emphasized.

Then she paused for a moment to put on glasses.

“So let me use my teacher voice. Mr. Vance, mind your own business for once?’

Many people were impressed with Walz’s takedown and the teacher glasses she put on before delivering him.
