Hilary Swank cradles one of her twins in rare photo from family vacation

Hilary Swank has shared a rare photo of herself with one of her twins.

Swank, 50, posted a photo of herself on social media cradling one of her one-year-old twins, Aya and Ohm, while on her return flight from Fiji on Sunday, August 25.

The Million dollar baby star was photographed sitting next to a pilot in the cockpit of the plane as she wrapped her arms around the child on her lap.

“Surprise…Amelia has been found!” Swank joked as he wrote the subtitles Instagram post, referencing her 2009 film Amelia which charts the story of the pioneering female aviatrix Amelia Earhart. “After 24 hours of traveling with two babies who refused to sleep on planes, we decided to take our last flight home into our own hands.”

Swank, who celebrated her milestone birthday on July 30 swimming with whalesand then clarified what the candid photo actually captured.

“Just kidding!! We were in great hands with the @fly_fijiairways crew,” she wrote. “So glad we extended our trip to spend time in the beautiful country of Fiji and connect with the incredible people who live there. More content coming soon ✨❤️”

Swank and her husband, Philip Schneiderwelcomed their twins in April 2023, according to a source who shared We weekly that the couple was “ecstatic but exhausted” about raising their little ones.

The source added that Swank had “some help” with the twins but wanted to be as hands-on as possible. “She has a type A personality and wants to do everything herself,” the insider said at the time.

A second source says this Us that having children changed Swank’s priorities in life. “[It’s] changed Hilary’s perspective on everything,” the insider said. “She used to be so focused on her career, now it’s all about her family.”

The actress revealed her children’s names in an Instagram post on Valentine’s Day this year, sharing on February 14 that her daughter was named Aya and her son was named Ohm.

“I have a busy week full of talk shows ahead in which I will talk about my new film and a fun collaboration, but I thought what better day to first share the names of my two little loves with you👼🏼👼🏼💝, she captioned the photo, which showed the backs of her children dressed in brightly colored swimsuits and sitting on a beach.

The Nebraska native announced in October 2022 that she and Schneider, whom she married in 2018, were expanding their family. “This is something I’ve wanted for a long time, and my next thing is to be a mother,” Swank said during an appearance on Good morning America where she revealed her pregnancy. “And not just one, but two.
