While hardware is crucial on any smartphone, the software is perhaps even more important.
It’s what you interact with directly every day, so you want something that’s easy to use and offers lots of features.
And as you probably know, not all versions of Android are the same. In particular, the experience on Samsung Galaxy phones is very different from anything else.
If you’re considering a Samsung phone but aren’t sure about the software, it’s wise to try it out before you buy. You can try one out in a store or borrow a friend’s device, but Samsung has an easier solution.
You can get a taste of One UI on any smartphone, including an iPhone, via the Try Galaxy app. And it is very easy to use. Here’s how to get started.
Try Samsung software on any phone
For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ll be using an iPhone running iOS 17. But we’ll note any differences on Android.
Open the Try Galaxy app

First you need to open a web browser (Safari shown above) and go to the Try Galaxy website. This site is specifically designed to give other smartphone users a taste of the Samsung Galaxy experience.
Add the Try Galaxy app to your home screen

Once you’re on the Try Galaxy website, you’ll see a prompt to add the app to your home screen. This is not an actual app download, but rather a web app that allows you to easily access the simulation.
In Safari (iPhone), tap the share icon (a square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of your screen. Scroll down, select “Add to Home Screen,” then tap “Add” in the top right corner.
In Chrome (Android), tap the three dots in the top right corner and choose “Add to Home Screen.” Give it a name of your choice (or stick with the default name) and tap “Add.”
Now you have a Try Galaxy icon on your home screen, just like a regular app.
Launch the Try Galaxy app

Once the app is active, you can discover what Samsung has to offer. Your personal information won’t be shown here, but for an average person you’ll still see some incoming messages and notifications.
