ISOG organizes the first cybersecurity colloquium at the Asian Institute of Management

The Information Security Officers Group (ISOG) successfully organized its first colloquium at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) on July 13, 2024, which attracted more than a hundred cybersecurity professionals eager to deepen their knowledge of cybersecurity innovation.

Attendees delved into informative white papers, cutting-edge research and insightful case studies, with a particular focus on advances in industrial control systems and operational technology, as well as their integration with artificial intelligence (AI) in enterprise security.

“This event is a cornerstone for continuing education and professional advancement within our field. During each session, we expand our knowledge and improve our abilities to navigate the complex challenges of the digital landscape. Through continuous learning and collaboration, we can stay ahead of the evolving cyber landscape,” said Archie Tolentino, President of ISOG, in his opening remarks.

Emmanuel Barcena, president and CEO of the Philippine Clearing House Corporation, delivered a keynote address on the adoption and operationalization of AI and machine learning technologies in check management. He emphasized the importance of deploying these technologies to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in the financial sector. His speech set the stage for further discussions on cybersecurity innovation.

“As the cyber threat landscape continues to evolve, we must stay abreast of the latest threats and vulnerabilities to effectively protect our systems and data,” said Chito Jacinto, ISOG Vice President and I Am Secure 2024 Chairman, in his speech. “The ISOG Colloquium is a platform to promote education, raise awareness and facilitate the exchange of intelligence among our colleagues.”
