ITV Studios sells Armoza formats back to founder Avi Armoza

Armoza Formats is independent again after founder Avi Armoza bought the company back from ITV Studios.

Founded in 2005, Armoza Formats is a top international producer and distributor of global content. They joined the ITV Studios umbrella in 2019 and became the Israeli production arm of ITV Studios in 2022.

Going forward, the formats company will continue to have exclusive rights to produce ITV Studios’ catalog of formats – including “Love Island” and “Come Dine With Me” – for the Israeli market.

In Israel, the local version of “Love Island” airs on Keshet Media Group’s Free TV, while “Come Down With Me” and “The 1% Club” (made by Magnum Media) can be seen on Kan 11.

Armoza is currently working on an Arabic-language version of “Come Dine With Me” and an Arabic-language version of “The Chase” in addition to the original production “Cooking Up Memories,” which is currently airing on Makan.

ITV Studios will retain the acquired Armoza Formats catalogue, consisting of approximately 100 titles including “Marry Me Now” and “The Four”, although future projects created by Armoza will be independently owned by the formats company.

“Adapting to the changing needs of the market – exploring and finding new ways of doing business has always been at the core of Armoza Formats. I am excited about the next chapter,” said Avi Armoza.

Lisa Perrin, managing director for international production at ITV Studios said: “Under Avi’s leadership, shows such as ‘Love Island’ and ‘Come Dine with Me’ have been successfully launched and I am very pleased to continue working with him as he our catalog of award-winning formats.”
