Jennifer Aniston's 'tired' face is due to a botched filler, surgeon claims

Surgeons often use hyaluronic acid fillers, which are known to attract water to increase volume, although it takes some time for the filling effect to sink in.

Dr. Elie Levine, a plastic surgeon in New York City, suggested this the daily email that the swelling under Aniston’s left eye could be attributed to filler injections and noted a similar observation in previous photos, hinting at possible makeup-related cover-ups.

“This is an area where we see some swelling in a rare number of patients,” Levine explains. “This can happen because the skin there is very thin, or because the lymphatic area – which drains fluids – can become irritated or affected in a way that leads to swelling.”

“Sometimes using fillers can help solve this problem. You can also use lasers to tighten the skin in that area.”
