Jimmy Fallon taunts JD Vance with a report that could really upset him

Jimmy Fallon teased on Wednesday that Donald Trump might want to break up with his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio).

“According to a new report, former President Trump is furious with his campaign staff for letting him make the ‘terrible decision to pick J.D. Vance as his vice president,’” the “Tonight Show” host said.

He continued, “Trump regrets working with Vance. He says, “This is why I always sign a prenup.”

The comedian quoted a report from one tabloid, the Irish Star, who claimed Trump was “furious” over the decision to pick Vance to join his ticket.

The newspaper pointed to recent comments from Anthony Scaramucci, an outspoken Trump critic who briefly served as White House communications director in 2017. Scaramucci claimed in a podcast appearance that Trump “knows Vance was a terrible, terrible choice.”

The Trump campaign has said the claims are “100% untrue.”

“You can tell the news really upset Vance too,” Fallon joked. “I mean, look at his eyeliner today.” The joke was accompanied by a photo of Vance edited to make makeup run from his eyes.

(There has been rampant speculation that Vance wears eyeliner to make his eyes pop, even though his wife, Usha Vance, say it is “all natural”).
