Joe Biden incorrectly refers to Ukraine's Zelenskiy as Vladimir Putin, how he responded

Joe Biden’s blunder came as he spoke on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington

In yet another blunder amid concerns over his re-election bid, US President Joe Biden today falsely portrayed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as his Russian rival Vladimir Putin.

“And now I would like to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has equal courage and determination, ladies and gentlemen, President Putin,” he said, referring to Zelensky while speaking on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington. .

Zelensky looked stunned, but then was seen shaking his head and smiling to himself.

Biden, 81, then quickly corrected himself, saying: “President Putin, you are going to beat President Putin, President Zelensky. I am so focused on beating Putin.”

Zelensky, who had now recovered from his bewilderment, responded by saying: “I am better (than Putin).”

“You’re a lot better,” Biden responded before Zelensky began his speech.

Shortly afterwards, Biden made another blunder when he called his deputy, Kamala Harris, “Vice President” Trump at a high-stakes news conference.

“Look, I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if she wasn’t qualified to be president. So start there,” he said while responding to a journalist’s question on his confidence in Indian-origin leader Kamala. Harris.

The latest blunders come amid growing calls for Biden, already the oldest person to ever serve as US president, to step aside.

The calls have grown louder since his poor performance against 78-year-old Donald Trump in a US presidential debate two weeks ago.

Even members of his Democratic Party are concerned about his ability to win the Nov. 5 election.
