Jomboy Media inks deal to carry its 'Warehouse Games' on Bally Sports

Indie sports media brand Jomboy Media has partnered with regional sports network Bally Sports to broadcast its ‘Warehouse Games’ franchise, which includes ball in play, floorball, blitzball and slapball. Deal reps mark the first time the games reach a mainstream linear platform.

Jomboy will produce multiple one-hour episodes featuring content from the 2023 and 2024 Warehouse Games. The series will launch on Sunday, June 30 across Bally Sports’ 17 regional sports networks and the Bally Sports app.

“Two years ago we bought a warehouse and devised a plan to create something no one knew they wanted: high-production sports leagues and a backyard BBQ feel,” says Jimmy “Jomboy” O’Brien, founder of Jomboy Media. “From the start, our mission was to bring the friendly competition and banter of pick-up games into a TV-quality product. We have invested in creating new games, new franchises, new personalities and new competition formats. Now we are so excited that our hard work – and the loyalty of our community – has allowed us to reach this next milestone.”

The deal with Bally Sports also includes coverage of all Warehouse Games matchups with Jomboy Media personalities and special guests, including host Chris Rose, former MLB player Trevor Plouffe and cricket legend Daren Sammy, across two different league formats (Franchise Series and Captains League) .

The deal also includes interviews with MLB players and managers from “Chris Rose Rotation,” the baseball trivia game “RefGuess” and in-depth video essays from Jolly Olive, which will be posted on Bally Sports+, the direct-to-consumer platform of Bally Sports within the Bally Sports app.

“Bally Sports speaks directly to millions of sports fans every day, and this is an incredible opportunity to bring Warehouse Games to a new audience,” said Courtney Hirsch, COO of Jomboy Media. “This partnership shows that Jomboy Media creators are experts in creating compelling formats that resonate across digital, linear and wherever sports fans watch video. We are thrilled that Bally Sports recognizes Warehouse Games as a program that will thrive on linear TV, and even more excited about all the new Warehouse Games fans on the horizon.”
