DaBaby‘s plea to delay his upcoming civil trial over claims he knocked the teeth out of an elderly man was rejected.
This is evident from court documents obtained by RadarOnline.comthe los angeles superior court judge presiding over the lawsuit filed by Gary Pagar declined to postpone the September 3, 2024 trial date.

DaBaby, who had been granted multiple extensions on the case, asked that the trial begin on November 5. His lawyers argued that they had scheduling conflicts and could not make the September date.
During the recent hearing, the judge was not swayed by DaBaby’s attorneys planning conflicts or a reported medical problem.

“Also, the court will not consider counsel’s medical problems as an additional reason to continue the trial because counsel has chosen to leave that information out of the moving papers and has other out-of-state trials scheduled at the same time. If counsel discusses the medical issue and reaches a determination on that basis, the court will accept that determination. But that is a problem for another day,” the order read.
He added: “Potential scheduling conflicts with events taking place four or five months from now remain just that: potential. If this court were to schedule trials only when it was assured that all counsel and witnesses would be available, no case would ever be tried.”

The judge said, “Because there is no actual conflict yet,” the motion was denied.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Pagar claimed he rented his LA home to DaBaby and his associates in 2020. He said the rapper agreed to host no more than 12 guests.

While DaBaby was at his home, Pagar said he became aware that DaBaby had more than 40 people at home for a music video shoot. He said he drove to the house to confront the rapper.
Pagar said the guests attacked him, spit on him and verbally abused him. The man said DaBaby chased him to his house. He claimed DaBaby punched him in the face, causing several teeth to fall out.

That’s what the homeowner said called the police but DaBaby fled the scene before they arrived. Pagar’s lawsuit sought unspecified damages.
DaBaby was charged with misdemeanor battery above the incident. The criminal case has yet to be resolved. As a result, DaBaby claimed he would invoke the Fifth if he were forced to testify in the civil case. The criminal case is expected to be resolved before trial in November.
As we first reported, on top of Pagar’s lawsuit, DaBaby was sued by his ex-girlfriend DaniLeigh’s brother over an alleged assault at an LA bowling alley.
