Julia Fox explains why she has been celibate for more than two years

The actress and model opened up about her decision to live a celibate life Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen on Monday, May 19, explaining that it is her personal form of protest against the reversal of the abortion law Roe v. Wade.
“Nothing good comes from having sex — including children,” Fox, 34, initially joked, adding, “No, I’m just kidding.”
“I think with the overthrow of Roe v. Wade and because our rights are being taken away, this is how I can take back control,” Fox further explained. “It sucks that it has to be this way, but I just don’t feel comfortable until things change.”

Fox, who has a son, Valentino, 3, with her ex-husband, Peter Artemievadded that there is no end in sight to her celibacy.
“It lasted six months, then it was a year, and then I thought, ‘Oh my God, it’s almost 2.5 years and it’s still going on,’” she said.
Requested by WWHL host Andy Cohen whether she misses sex, the Uncut gemstones actress gave an emphatic ‘no’.
“At first,” she explained. “But I guess it’s like getting over everything: smoking, drugs, whatever it is. Eventually you just forget about it, and then you can put all that energy you put into sex into other things.
Cohen, 55, then got even more personal, asking Fox, “Do you masturbate a lot?”
“Not as much as you might think,” Fox replied. “Maybe once or twice a month. Sometimes I start and then I get tired and lose interest. I’m just so tired all the time.”

Fox first revealed her celibacy in a response on May 11 under a TikTok video criticism of dating app Bumble’s new advertising campaign to lure users. “A vow of celibacy is not the answer,” reads one of Bumble’s new billboards.
A TikTok user posted a photo of the billboard and wrote about it: “Imagine pretending to be a dating app FOR WOMEN and launching a million dollar ad campaign that blames WOMEN for a very normal response to male violence. ”
Fox responded in the comments: “2.5 years of celibacy and never been better.”
The actress has had a famous date Kanye West for a short period in early 2022. In an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show Last October, Fox said being with the rapper felt like having a second baby.
“I could only do it for so long because I think eventually he needed a full-time person and I just couldn’t be full-time,” she said. “I had my son [Valentino] and then he wanted to talk on the phone a lot, like when I needed to change diapers, so I bought a pair of AirPods so I could keep them in while I was busy with my mom. It was just – it was so overwhelming and so unbearable.”
“At the end of the day, I can’t put anyone else first,” Fox added. “My son has to be the first. It just became too much. I didn’t sign up to have two babies. I could not do it. It felt like two babies.”
