Despite his sharp criticism of the police’s handling of the case, Burke added that Timberlake “respects law enforcement.”

He continued: “I will say that he recognizes the very important work that they do. And he cooperated with police officers from the moment he was ordered out of his car until he was fired by Judge Irace on June 18.

“He also respects the entire justice system, the DA’s office and Judge Irace for clearly handling the case today. But the facts remain. He wasn’t drunk.”
