A “Trial de Novo” would allow them to let the judge in LA review the facts and make their own decision on the case. Starstuck and Blackstock argued that they were barred from introducing certain evidence and witnesses in the labor board proceeding.

In response, Clarkson demanded that Blackstock and Starstruck be ordered to post a $5.2 million bond to continue their appeal. She said the labor commissioner ruled that her ex-husband had to post a bond of twice the amount of the judgment in order to appeal.

During the recent hearing, the judge ruled that Blackstock and Starstruck only have to post $1.5 million bail.

Clarkson and Blackstock their bitter divorce settled in 2022.
